"I also will not lose my temper and physically abuse or verbally abuse, attack or accuse either her or my children (a 12 year old girl and a 13 year old boy)"
It's not often that a wife beater signs a confession. 5thEstate.com not only has the signed confession but also the exclusive proof of why one Manheim Township Commissioner decided not to run after serving only one 4-year-term.
At the end of last year, 5thEstate.com uncovered the secret that Bledsoe had hid from voters when he ran for commissioner just 4 years ago:
5thEstate.com discovered that not only was Bledose part of a mismanaged township just a few years prior to running for office, but police had to arrest him twice for violating a 1991 Protection From Abuse (PFA) order! In addition to his wife, Bledsoe is said to have also abused their 12 year old daughter and 13 year old son!
The following summary is taken from Bledose ex-wife's petition for a PFA. These are public records taken from the Lancaster County Courthouse. HOWEVER, we have redacted names in order to protect Bledsoe's ex-wife and children from further embarrassment.
Incident #1 - Bledsoe confronted his wife as she walked in the door. After awhile, Bledsoe began screaming at his wife and slammed her against the closet door. The noise woke the couple's 12 year old daughter and she begged her dad to stop.
When the mother tried to comfort their daughter, Bledsoe screamed at her as she walked up the steps to their child. While the mother was trying to comfort the child, Bledsoe grabbed his wife by the neck and lifted her so that her feet were off the floor. Bledsoe than hit her in the face and then threw her into a bedroom where she collided with a metal filing cabinet.
The couple's 13 year old son woke up and tried to get his dad off of his mom. Bledsoe back-handed the boy knocking him down. Next, Bledsoe hit his daughter and threw her onto a bed.
Incident #2 - The couple began arguing and Bledsoe threatened to kill his wife saying, "I'll break your F _ _ _ ing neck" and "I'll put a bullet in your brain."
The couple's 12 year old daughter tried to protect her mom. Bledsoe grabbed the telephone from her hand as the girl sought to call 911.
Incident #3 - Bledsoe began screaming and yelling at his wife - standing just a couple of inches away. When Bledsoe's wife turned away, Bledsoe bit her on the shoulder. She fled their home in extreme pain.
Incident #4 - During an argument with his wife, Bledsoe began pushing her. When Bledsoe raised his fist to strike his wife, their 12 year old daughter intervened. Bledsoe instead hit his daughter and jerked her out of the way by the arm. Bledsoe refused to let either leave the house.
Incident #5 - Bledsoe, during an argument with his wife, pushed her against a door in the kitchen. After hitting her across the face with his fist, Bledsoe dragged her from the kitchen to the living room.
He hit her again, knocking her to the floor. Bledsoe than put his hands around her throat, choking her and telling her that he was going to put a bullet through her brain!
Do you think for one moment that Bledsoe could have been elected four years ago if this information had been known? Chagrined GOP officials, who failed to ask or properly investigate Bledsoe 4 years ago, confronted Bledsoe with this information, causing him to not run again.
Bledsoe was also given a chance to resign before this information was publicly revealed.
Bledsoe refused!
