Taz Gunned Down In Paradise!
Pit bull, Taz was gunned down by a Lancaster County Drug Task Force member two weeks ago 150 feet from Route 30 East in Paradise Township. When 5thEstate.com contacted the head of the drug task force, they refused to comment because it, …"was under a criminal investigation" by the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP). However, when contacted Thursday a week ago, PSP had no information and the desk clerk assured us that ALL incidents require a form! When pressed, the clerk claimed the otherwise normal looking computer was in fact "down". On Tuesday, an "information officer" returned a call to 5thEstate.com and said that he didn't know anything about the incident and didn't know of an investigation. A day later, the PSP called to say that there was an investigation and that a "press release" would be forthcoming.
According to a law enforcement source, they pronounced that 5thEstate.com must be hearing the story from "the bad guys"! What will the PSP investigation reveal? Rather than wait for the "press release" spin from the cops, 5thEstate.com is going to print the account given to us by the dog loving eye-witness to the execution! Apparently the drug task force had conducted a raid at the property several days before and took one of the occupants of the house to jail. Several days later, shortly after dusk, three plain clothes cops, unannounced, were walking around in the back of the property located right along the highway. Taz went after one of the strangers and was called off by the owner. The angered cop fumbled for his gun and chased after the dog, firing his gun 4 or 5 times killing Taz.
PSP refused to comment on the witness's statement that the officer did not need medical attention and instead said that it would be answered in the "press release". The bloody dog was seen being loaded on the back of the supposed owners pick-up truck to be taken away. We were unable to determine if any bullets traveled over the busy highway located less than a football field away.
