District Attorney: “There is a smoking gun.”!

After 5thEstate.com broke the media strangle over the coroner story, the Sunday News followed up with even more details of the worst media crisis since the convention center!

5thEstate.com has now learned that on Tuesday, District Attorney Don Totaro gathered many of his Assistants for a meeting because he wanted them to have the “straight story” on the coroner investigation. He repeated that he referred the investigation to the Attorney General to avoid the appearance of wrong doing. However, he apparently was concerned about them having an opinion based on the newspaper’s spin!

And just what did the Chief Prosecutor reveal to his staff? (Of course you will only find this story on 5thEstate.com – but then you knew that didn’t you?)

According to witnesses, with a big smile on his face, Totaro said, “Bottom line is a crime has been committed by the coroner and the Intelligencer Journal.”!

Without revealing exactly what is was, Totaro continued, “There is a smoking gun.”
